KAW Pump Station Improvements

Project Description

This project consisted of replacing three vertical turbine pumps with 200 hp turbine pumps, replacing the motors on the 1,000 hp turbine pumps and adding VFD’s, installation of a new electrical building, new 1,000 kw generator, and miscellaneous site improvements. The $6,066,384.00 project was awarded in 2014 with very limited dates when construction could occur. The electrical building was pre-manufactured and required two cranes in order to set it on it’s foundation. With the improvements to the pump station, capacity of the city of Stillwater’s water supply is significantly increased.
