Walters-Morgan is currently hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator. Ideal candidates will be proficient in the safe use and operation of several types of heavy equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, dozers, & skids, self-perform daily/weekly/monthly checks and maintenance procedures as required, and be willing to travel upon completion of this project,

Note: The ideal candidate would also be willing to travel upon completion of the initial project. We attempt to keep all employees as close to home as possible, but due to the nature of the construction industry, we must go where the work is. Walters-Morgan Construction is based out of Manhattan, KS and works on projects located throughout Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
For Certified Crane Operators, you must have current NCCCO Certifications.
For all equipment operators, you must be able to perform all required inspections and checklists (daily/weekly/monthly as necessary), fill out log books, perform basic maintenance tasks, and be able to demonstrate the safe and efficient operation of the equipment from day one.
Must be able to pass a background screen and drug screen.
For all equipment operator positions: We do not provide a 100% equipment operator role. If work has slowed down and there is not any need for equipment operation at that time, you will be asked to do other tasks which would help move the project in a positive direction. At Walters-Morgan, we thrive on being team players, and expect everyone to be able to jump in and help out on an as-needed basis. We also stay working year-round, meaning there are no lay-offs during the winter months, just the occasional bad weather day.
